One can’t undermine the importance of computer in a person’s life in today’s world. एक भिखारी सुबह-सुबह भीख मांगने निकला। चलते समय उसने अपनी झोली में जौ के मुट्ठी भर दाने डाल लिए। टोटके या अंधविश्वास के कारण भिक्षाटन के लिए निकलते समय भिखारी अपनी झोली खाली नहीं रखते। थैली देख कर दूसरों को लगता है कि इसे पहले से किसी ने दे रखा है। पूर्णिमा का दिन था, भिखारी सोच रहा था कि आज ईश्वर की कृपा होगी तो मेरी यह झोली शाम से पहले ही भर जाएगी।

अचानक सामने से राजपथ पर उसी देश के राजा की सवारी आती दिखाई दी। भिखारी खुश हो गया। उसने सोचा, राजा के दर्शन और उनसे मिलने वाले दान से सारे दरिद्र दूर हो जाएंगे, जीवन संवर जाएगा। जैसे-जैसे राजा की सवारी निकट आती गई, भिखारी की कल्पना और उत्तेजना भी बढ़ती गई। जैसे ही राजा का रथ भिखारी के निकट आया, राजा ने अपना रथ रुकवाया, उतर कर उसके निकट पहुंचे। भिखारी की तो मानो सांसें ही रुकने लगीं। लेकिन राजा ने उसे कुछ देने के बदले उलटे अपनी बहुमूल्य चादर उसके सामने फैला दी और भीख की याचना करने लगे। भिखारी को समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि क्या करे। अभी वह सोच ही रहा था कि राजा ने पुन: याचना की। भिखारी ने अपनी झोली में हाथ डाला, मगर हमेशा दूसरों से लेने वाला मन देने को राजी नहीं हो रहा था। जैसे-तैसे कर उसने दो दाने जौ के निकाले और उन्हें राजा की चादर पर डाल दिया। उस दिन भिखारी को रोज से अधिक भीख मिली, मगर वे दो दाने देने का मलाल उसे सारे दिन रहा। शाम को जब उसने झोली पलटी तो उसके आश्चर्य की सीमा न रही। जो जौ वह ले गया था, उसके दो दाने सोने के हो गए थे। उसे समझ में आया कि यह दान की ही महिमा के कारण हुआ है। वह पछताया कि काश! उस समय राजा को और अधिक जौ दी होती, लेकिन नहीं दे सका, क्योंकि देने की आदत जो नहीं थी।

folder movies will change to control panel and you cannot view its

contents. Press key and you will get back your original folder.

create it again but the folder name must be correct.

Creating a desktop shortcut for locking your computer

If you use your computer in an area where others may

have access to it, and there are things on your system you would

rather have kept confidential, locking your desktop when you leave

the computer is an essential task. Here's a recipe for a desktop

shortcut that will lock your computer in two easy clicks:



Right click on an empty area of the desktop and choose 'new' then

'shortcut.' The create shortcut wizard will open; in the first text

box, type '%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe

user32.dll,LockWorkStation' and then give your shortcut an

appropriate name on the next page, and hit 'finish.'



You will notice that the shortcut you created has a blank icon. To

select a more appropriate one, right click on the shortcut and hit

'properties.' In the 'shortcut' tab, click the 'change icon' button.



In the 'look for icons in this file' box, type

'%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll' then click 'ok' to see a range

of icons for your new shortcut. Choose an appropriate icon. Your

desktop locking shortcut is now ready for use. Test it out.



Note: It is useful if u have an account as it will prompt for a

password.

Create Nameless File or Folder in Windows

This trick will allow you to create files and folders without


any name.

Just follow the following steps:



1. Select any file or folder.

2. Right click on it, press rename or simply press F2.

3. Press and hold the alt key. While holding the Alt key, type

numbers 0160 from the numpad.



Note: Type the numbers 0160 from the numpad, that is, the numbers

present on the right side of the keyboard. Don't type the numbers

which are present on top of the character keys.



4. Press Enter and the nameless file or folder will be created.



Reason: The file or folder that seems nameless is actually named

with a single space.



But what if you want to create another nameless file or folder in

the same directory ?



For this you will have to rename the file with 2 spaces. Just follow

these steps below:



1. Select file, press F2.

2. Hold alt key and type 0160 from the numpad.

3. Release the alt key. Now without doing anything else, again hold

alt key and press 0160.

4. Press enter and you will have second nameless file in the same

directory.

5. Repeat step 3 to create as many nameless files or folders in the

same directory.

By holding down alt, then typing numbers on the number pad (right of


the keyboard) you can create special characters. If you hold down

alt, then press 1, then let go, you got the ascii character 1. You

try some randomn numbers. This goes all the way up to 255. Open a

dos prompt, and type md (alt+1+9+4)someword. md is the dos command

to make a directoy, now try and open the directory in Windows, you

can't. To open it, type ren (alt+1+9+4)someword someword (ren is the

dos command to rename).

Boot your Computer Faster

Some slight changes can do wonders for your system:

1. Press start->run then type msconfig and press enter.

Go to the startup tab. Here you will see a list of startup items.

These are all the programs that automatically start when you boot

your PC. It is these that slow down the boot up process.

So uncheck all the unwanted items

like ms-office, messengers other utilities that u may not need at

startup). Don't uncheck your antivirus software.



Restart your Pc to and see for yourself, your pc will now boot

faster....



2. A great new feature in Microsoft Windows XP is the ability to do

a boot defragment. This places all boot files next to each other on

the disk to allow for faster booting. By default this option is

enabled, but on some systems it is not, so below is the information

on how to turn it on:



Go to Start Menu and Click Run

Type in regedit then click ok

Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Dfrg\BootOpt

imizeFunction"

Select "Enable" from the list on the right

Right on it and select "Modify"

Change the value to Y .

Reboot your Pc and see the change yourself.



3.SPEED UP BOOT BY DISABLING UNUSED PORTS.!!

You may have tried many tweaks like modifying windows XP start-up

applications, prefetches, unload DLLs method, etc. And yes those

methods do work for me.

I have just accidentally found out another way

to give you an extra boost in windows XP's boot performance. This is

done by disabling your unused devices in Device Manager. for

example, if you don't have input devices that are connected to one

of your USB's or COM ports, disabling them will give you an extra

performance boost in booting. Go to Control Panel -> System ->

Hardware tab -> device manager Disable devices that you don't use

for your PC and then restart.

Create One-Click Shutdown and Reboot Shortcuts:

First, create a shortcut on your desktop by right-clicking on the desktop, choosing New, and then choosing Shortcut. The Create Shortcut Wizard appears. In the box asking for the location of the shortcut, type shutdown. After you create the shortcut, double-clicking on it will shut down your PC.

But you can do much more with a shutdown shortcut than merely shut down your PC. You can add any combination of several switches to do extra duty, like this:

संता की बीबी प्रीतो एक दुकान पर पहुंची जहां परिंदे बेचे जाते थे। एक तोते के पिंजरे के आगे कीमत लिखी थी - मात्र 50 रु. ।
प्रीतो ने दुकानदार से पूछा - इसकी कीमत इतनी कम क्यों है जबकि तुम्हारी दुकान पर दूसरा कोई भी तोता 500 रु. से कम का नहीं है।
- दरअसल इस तोते का बोलचाल ठीक नहीं है। यहां आने के पहले यह एक वैश्या के घर में था। इसलिए कभी-कभी अश्लील बातें और भद्दी गालियां बकने लगता है। आप कोई दूसरा तोता ले जाइये, यह आपके घर के लायक नहीं है।
प्रीतो ने दो मिनट सोचा फिर बोली - चलेगा। मैं इसे अपने घर के लायक बना लूंगी। आप तो यही तोता दे दीजिए।
घर लाकर उसने तोते का पिंजरा अपने बेडरूम में टांग दिया और उसके कुछ बोलने का इंतजार करने लगी।

एक गांव में बाढ़ आ गई। घरों में पानी भरने लगा तो गांव के लोग जान बचाने के लिए सुरक्षित स्थानों की तरफ चले गये। केवल एक आदमी, जो भगवान का बड़ा भक्त था, अपने घर में फंसा रह गया। जब पानी ज्यादा बढ़ने लगा तो वह छत पर चढ़ गया और भगवान से प्रार्थना करने लगा। तभी एक नाव उसके घर के पास से गुजरी। नाव पर सवार आदमी ने चिल्लाकर उसे नाव पर आने के लिए कहा पर आदमी ने मना कर दिया। बोला - मुझे अपने भगवान पर पूरा विश्वास है। वे मुझे जरूर बचा लेंगे। तुम जाओ।
नाव वाला नाव लेकर चला गया। आदमी फिर प्रार्थना करने लगा। करीब एक घंटे बाद एक मोटरबोट उसकी तरफ आई। मोटरबोट सवार ने भी उस आदमी  से चलने का अनुरोध किया पर उस आदमी ने उसे भी मना कर दिया - नहीं भाई। तुम जाओ । मेरे प्रभु मुझे बचाने अवश्य आएंगे। और फिर प्रार्थना में तल्लीन हो गया।
कुछ देर बाद एक हेलिकॉप्टर वहां से गुजरा। छत पर खड़े अकेले आदमी को देखकर उन्होंने रस्सी उसकी ओर फेंकी और हेलिकॉप्टर पर आने का इशारा किया। पर उस आदमी ने उनकी भी मदद लेने से इनकार कर दिया। बोला - आप लोग चिन्ता न करें । मेरे भगवान मुझे बचा लेंगे।
अंतत: पानी छत पर आ गया और उस आदमी की डूब कर मौत हो गई।
परलोक पहुंचने पर वह सीधा भगवान के सामने जा खड़ा हुआ और फट पड़ा - भगवान ! ये आपने ठीक नहीं किया ! मैंने सच्चे मन से आपकी प्रार्थना की ! आप पर भरोसा किया, इसके बावजूद आपने मुझे नहीं बचाया ! आखिर क्यों ?
भगवान आवेश में आकर बोले - अरे मूर्ख ! मैंने तुझे बचाने के लिए एक नाव, एक मोटरबोट और एक हेलिकॉप्टर भेजा ! अब और तुझे क्या चाहिए था ......... ?
